My, what a lovely third eye you have, beautiful Buddha. Enlighten the room with this striking sitting Buddha in suar wood.
This Buddha's hands are in Dhyana Mudra -- the Mudra of Meditation. It is also called Samadhi or Yoga Mudra. Both hands are placed in the lap, right hand on left with fingers fully stretch and the palms facing upward (from "Short Description of Gods, Goddesses and Ritual Objects of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal"). This mudra promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy.
Stained a deep brown.
